Why Volunteer With Us?
Talking Shop is a community volunteer project in Sandford-on-Thames, just next door to Littlemore, Rosehill & Kennington and a short bus or cycle ride from Oxford city centre. We set up to provide a much-needed community hub for our area and through our volunteer teams we offer valuable opportunities for people to develop skills, confidence, experience and to make new friends.
Pre-lockdown our volunteers run a number of different activities and community services and as it becomes safer to work together in groups we will be working to restart things.
We welcome people of all ages, backgrounds and levels of experience (including none!). We support our volunteers to work at their own pace and to develop experience and confidence through their time at Talking Shop. Volunteering with us is a great opportunity to learn new skills, get work experience or a reference, to meet new people and to make a real difference in the community.
